You have to eat food that you enjoy!

When most people decide to go on a fad diet, they usually start a diet that has a "name". Something like "paleo" or "keto" or "zone" diets. These work for a while and the research does show that any diet works short term. But they key is long term success. Very few diets have long term success.

All of the studies done on keto diets show that most people start out strong, eating less than 20g of carbs per day. But after a year, 87% are eating more than 120g of carbs per day, despite still thinking they are doing keto.

The key to dieting and losing weight long term is to select a plan or food that you enjoy so you can lose weight long term and not for a short amount of time. You can even lose weight eating mostly junk food, see the Twinkie Diet below.

I tell my patients to eat food that they enjoy, just cut it in half. Or use a tracking app to be more precise.
